We support anyone in London affected by hate crime.
If you’ve been targeted based on your race, religion, gender, sexuality or disability, this is a hate crime. Hate crime also includes when someone has incorrectly made assumptions about these.
Hate crime can be verbal, online, harassment or violence. It can be from strangers, neighbours or people you know well. Hate crime can affect you in lots of different ways. However you’ve been affected, we can help.
Our support is free and confidential, and you don’t need to have reported anything to the police. Talk to us today, to see how we can help.
How can the Hate Crime Service help?
Our support is individual to you. We’ll work with you to understand your safety and your individual needs.
Depending on your situation, we can help by:
- providing a safe space to talk;
- advising on your rights and how to use them;
- supporting you to report to the police if you choose;
- explaining guidance on financial compensation for victims of crime;
- providing practical advice to make you feel safe; and
- helping you access other support and services you need, such as counselling or housing.
Our Hate Crime Service is run by community organisations in London.
It’s independent from the police, and you don’t need to have reported a crime to get support.
